Project Intro
For this one we were shooting the iconic DeLorean car best known from the movie “Back To The Future”. The goal of this setup is to create a nice, even light all around the set and the car. Let`s jump in!
STEP 1
  • Set up a 12×12 frame with Ultrabounce fabric overhead as your “ceiling,” then position 8×8 frames with fabric on both the left and right sides of the car and model.
  • Mount two Profoto ProHeads with Zoom Reflectors—one left, one right—and aim each up at the diffused ceiling to create an even, wraparound glow.
  • Use small black floppy flags (as shown in the 3D rendering) to block any unwanted direct spill.
  • Start both lights at Power 8.0 and tweak to taste.
STEP 2
  • Mount a Profoto ProHead with Zoom Reflector on the far left, aiming it at the white cove/backdrop.
  • Let the light bounce into the background to lift shadows and add fill.
  • Start at Power 6.0 and tweak as needed.
STEP 3
  • Mount a Profoto 5″ Octa RFI on a ProHead to camera-right, angled at about 45° toward the model.
  • This soft directional light adds contrast and gentle modeling across her face and body.
  • Start at Power 7.0 and tweak to taste.
  • Camera Settings: 1/160 s, f/8, ISO 125.
