Project Intro
The original image was shot in a large LED-wall studio with lots of space. So we needed a lot of light to cover every part of the set. You can easily strip the setup down to your studio size and surroundings. The goal for this setup was to create a clean, crispy commercial beauty light.
STEP 1
  • Rig a 12×12 frame with diffusion fabric directly above the model and mount four Profoto Small White Umbrellas (or just one in a smaller space).
  • Start each at Power 5.0 and adjust to taste.
STEP 2
  • Mount a Briese Focus 140 on a Profoto ProHead to camera-right as your key-light for that crisp, shiny beauty light.
  • Start at Power 6.0 and tweak to taste.
STEP 3
  • Rig two 8×8 frames with diffusion fabric at the model’s sides to softly frame her.
  • Behind each frame, mount a Profoto ProHead with Medium White Umbrella.
  • Start both at Power 5.0 and tweak to suit your scene.
  • Camera settings 1/160, f11, ISO160
