The editorial was shot on Barcelona`s beautiful coastline. The goal is a crisp, punchy flashed aesthetic— in combination with pure sunlight slightly surreal — built with a quick, no-fuss on-location flash setup
STEP 1
- Use the sun as back- or side-light (depends on location/time of day).
- Add a Profoto White Umbrella Medium as a front key to punch up face and clothing.
- Power with a Profoto B3 battery flash (or similarly strong unit); ensure enough output and bring spare batteries.
- Start at power 8.0 and adjust to balance against the sun.
STEP 2
- Lens: 16–35 mm super-wide.
- Camera settings: 1/200 s, ƒ/13, ISO 100 (adjust as needed).
