Project Intro
Our aim here is to dial in an ultra glossy yet fiercely edgy beauty light—one that makes every highlight pop and every contour come alive for a high beauty, editorial look. Ready to light things up? Let’s dive in!
STEP 1
  • Mount two Profoto White Medium Umbrellas on ProHeads with C-stands—one left, one right of the white backdrop—angled at about 80° toward it as shown in the 3D render.
  • These will blow the backdrop to near-pure white.
  • Start at Power 8.0 and tweak to taste.
STEP 2
  • Position two black polyboards at the set’s left and right.
  • Mount a Profoto ProHead with Zoom Reflector between them.
  • Use the boards to block all light spill.
  • Aim each head directly at the model from left and right to create a halo wrap.
  • Set power to 5.0, then tweak until the halo looks right.
STEP 3
  • Mount a Profoto ProHead with Zoom Reflector at camera‑right, aimed at the model.
  • Use a low power setting of 2.0
  • Purpose: adding a catch‑light in the eyes to make them feel “alive.”
STEP 4
  • Set up a Profoto ProHead with a Deep Silver Umbrella(see 3D render)
  • Clip white diffusion foil in front of the umbrella for a softer fill.
  • Use this as your fill light to lift shadow detail.
  • Begin at power 4.0 and tweak to taste.
  • Suggested camera settings: 1/160 s, ƒ/11, ISO 160 (adapt as needed).
