Project Intro
The goal of this setup is to create crisp, surreal hard light on-location. Easy to set up and use. Let`s jump right in!
STEP 1
- Position a Profoto ProHead (or Profoto B3 with battery) at the model’s right side as shown in the 3D rendering.
- Remove any modifiers from the ProHead—use the bare bulb—to mimic sunlight and dial in high contrast and drama.
- Add a small white polyboard nearby to optionally lift shadows or recover clothing detail.
- Start at power 7.0 and tweak to suit your environment.

- This step is highly individual—get creative based on your location.
- Example: position a Profoto ProHead (or similar) in an alley and blast at full power for a dramatic effect.
- Experiment with placement, power and modifiers to suit your environment.
- Start with camera settings 1/160 s, ƒ/9, ISO 100, then adjust to taste.
