Project Intro
Our aim with this setup is to dial in a punchy, high contrast light perfect for editorial and portrait work. One that’s quick to set up and effortless to tweak on the fly. Let’s dive in!
STEP 1
  • Position an 8×8 frame with 8×8 grid cloth at camera‑right as shown in the 3D render.
  • Mount a Profoto ProHead with Zoom Reflector behind the frame, aiming at its center for even, medium‑punchy light.
  • Set one white polyboards and two black polyboards opposite to introduce soft fill (white) and contrast (black).
  • Start at power 6.0 and adjust to taste.
STEP 2
  • Mount a Profoto 2×3 softbox at the far‑right rear of the set, aimed at the model’s outer edge.
  • Use this as a soft highlight and hair light.
  • Start at power 3.0 and tweak until it complements your main lights.
  • Camera settings: 1/160, f6.3, ISO 160 – adjust to your needs!
