In this Live session we focused on discussing photo agency representation, retouching practices and industry experiences. We explored key factors agencies consider when signing photographers, including sellability, portfolio quality and execution under pressure. The conversation also covered retouching workflows, pricing strategies and the importance of developing a strong visual sense through daily exposure to high-quality imagery. We also discussed controversial industry topics such as the devaluation of craftsmanship in favor of speed, gender equality challenges and the hidden costs of retouching. The conversation ended with an invitation for members to complete a survey to help shape the future direction of the Created Lab platform.
